Russell, a Phoenix native raised in Cave Creek, attended Pinnacle High School, where he actively participated in football and track. Despite encountering several injuries during his sports endeavors, Russell's curiosity about the nature of injuries, their details, recovery processes, and injury prevention strategies grew. This curiosity led him to develop a keen interest in understanding the human body, especially in the context of sports injuries, even as he faced challenges like labral tears in both shoulders.

In college, while preparing to walk on and play football at Arizona State University, Russell benefited from the guidance of an excellent trainer. Under this mentorship, he gained insights into preventing shoulder injuries, adding 40 pounds to his physique and maintaining healthy shoulders. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, including COVID regulations and family issues, Russell couldn't pursue his football aspirations.

With football no longer on the table, Russell explored potential career paths. Following discussions with individuals working in the medical field, he found his calling in orthopedic medical device sales. In the spring of 2023, he crossed paths with Park and became an intern at Forthright, solidifying his decision to pursue a career in the medical device industry.

Currently in his senior year at Arizona State, Russell is majoring in communications. Alongside his academic pursuits, he has accumulated over four years of diverse work experience, including serving as a server/bartender at The Country Club at DC Ranch. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, working out, and hunting. Additionally, he contributes his time to support Summer Foster Care/Group home camps, showcasing his commitment to giving back to the community.
