This story revolves around a woman who experienced a significant calcaneal fracture following a fall from a ladder. Dr. Ledesma's patient boasts remarkable achievements as an equestrian, poised to participate in the forthcoming world championship event scheduled for December 1st, 2023, a mere four weeks post-surgery. Given the specific requirements of her sport, necessitating non-weight bearing, Dr. Ledesma advised that successful surgery coupled with the application of a protective boot could potentially enable her participation.
